Impacting can be defined as the ratio of applicants to spaces available in a given program; for nursing programs in San Diego, California nursing schools as a whole, and many other places around the country, impacting is normally quite a concern, because generally there are many more people looking to start a nursing program as opposed to spaces available. It's no secret that nurses in San Diego are a huge need, and the nursing shortage across the country has brought about many expanded traditional programs as well as new online nursing schools. Still, impacting remains a chief barrier to entrance into even the best online nursing schools.
At the University of Oklahoma College of Nursing Program, impacting is something that we have taken into consideration with our nursing education. For one, we offer three start dates per year, giving more access to many more people to get their nurse training.
