We have a specially designed "Career Ladder" program designed specifically for those who have already had their RN training and are looking to get their RN Bachelors degree in nursing. This program is different than our second degree program, which is designed for those who have little to no nursing experience looking to jump start their nursing education online.

The coursework and bookwork just the same as our second degree program in that it is online, but the clinical portion is not as heavy, and therefore it allows a quicker time frame to be a BSN nurse.

The deadline for applications for the fall semester for the University of Oklahoma College of Nursing Program is June 1, 2008. You will need to make sure all of your paperwork, including college transcripts and all other materials, is in by that day. This nursing program is top notch -- and one of the few accelerated BSN programs offered in San Diego.
We are also taking application for the RN to BSN program ("Career Ladder"). This nine month program allows RNs to earn a BSN online, with clinicals at Sharp HealthCare in San Diego.

One of the main stipulations for entry into our accelerated nursing program is that the student needs to have either a bachelor degree in a non-nursing field or an associate degree with RN licensure. As an accredited nursing program, it is required that our students have this minimum qualification.
But what if this degree is from outside of the United States? Will it still qualify to get the online nursing bachelors degree? Can it be used to apply for our accelerated BSN San Diego program? Well--yes it can--but with another stipulation. Because degrees from outside of the country have different minimum requirements for achieving the degree, the University of Oklahoma College of Nursing Program requires that the degree be evaluated by a company called WES (World Education Services). They can be found online at www.wes.org. This is the only institution that the University will take evaluations from, so if you have had an evaluation done by a different company, it will need to be re-evaluated by WES prior to admission for equivalency to go for our bachelor of science nursing degree.
After you've attained the evaluation from WES and it has been equivocated to at least a bachelor degree in the US, we'll be able to then discuss how you can get a jump start on your nurse career. If you are looking for one of the best online nursing schools and are interested as well in California nursing schools, look no further than our accelerated nursing program, where you can potentially join other BSN nurses in 14 months, or if you are a current RN looking for a RN program that you can get an online nursing bachelors degree in as little as 9 months.

And yes--it is fast!
