The University of Oklahoma College of Nursing Program constantly strives to be one of the best online nursing schools, and we want to give those in search of nursing education the most viable options available. Nursing schools typically require that in order to be accepted into a program in which you can earn a bachelor of science nursing degree, you need certain prerequisite classes to be eligible.

Our nursing program is no exception to that rule; our accelerated nursing program requires 11 classes prior to application be completed and posted to a college transcript with a minimum of a 2.5 GPA. The non-science classes are as follows: English Composition I and II, Statistics, Nutrition, US History, US Government, and Developmental Psychology. The science classes require at least 4 hours due to the lab component that is involved and are as follows: General Chemistry, Microbiology, Human Anatomy, and Human Physiology. (This is just for the ABSN Second Degree Program--our RN to BSN program is different).

You should understand that while some of these prerequisites are general in nature, there are specific things that our admissions looks for within these core prerequisites. So you may be asking--How am I to know if mine are good to go? Well, we have a solution for you! Even though we are the University of Oklahoma College of Nursing Program--we have offices in San Diego and admissions counselors within them!
